I’d honestly been wondering why it had taken the anti-women crowd so long to just pass this sort of nonsense as a law. Assuming they’re successful in this case, I wonder how many other states will follow their lead into the darkness. Ugh.

I hope it passes; maybe it will shock some white Virginians into realizing how insane the GOP has become when they can no longer get birth control or fertility treatments.

Must be the jobs they promised. Sounds like they confuse jobs with jobbing.

It would never go into effect. A federal judge would block it with an injunction, after which said judge would ultimately find it to be unconstitutional, a decision the Supreme Court would uphold if they heard the case. The “personhood” idea, as currently written, makes an utter hash out of settled laws. Judges hate that, and I can’t think of a single SOCTUS justice who would uphold this piece of crap. I only hope that if the Supreme Court ever hears a “personhood” case, they let Justice Scalia write the 9-0 opinion striking it down. He’s very good at smacking down loons.
